Guido Daniele – Hand and Body ArtistArtistic Trompe L’Oeil Fools and Delights the Viewer
Find out about Guido Daniele's style of hyper realistic painting - athat isn't what it appears to be. Hand &
and body painting are just two of his fortés.
When is a hand not a hand? When it is a dog, a bird or a tree! The true answer to this riddle is found in the work of Guido Daniele, who has become renowned for his surrealistic hand and body painting, for his trompe l’oeil work and for his graphic design work that has been used by large corporations to advertise their products. BiographyGuido Daniele was born in Soverato, a small village in Southern Italy, and studied painting and sculpture at the Brera School of Arts, from which he graduated in 1972. After this, in 1974, he went to Northern India to study the art of painting Tangkas (Buddhist sacred images) under the tutelage of the great Master Champala. A highly successful artist, he now lives and works from his studio in Milan. He has a great passion for protecting all life, whether it be the earth's ecology, animals or human rights. He also has a great sympathy for the Tibetan people. Hyper Realistic ArtGuido’s art has been described as ‘hyper realistic’. Much of his work is very surreal, and its charm and wit lie in the way that the eye is fooled into seeing something that does not exist. His hand paintings are an example of this. He painstakingly transforms a hand into a bird, or an animal, paying close attention to creating realistic textures for feathers, fur or scales. Trompe L’oeilGuido Daniele has been much in demand for his Trompe L’Oeil murals which have been executed in private homes and in public buildings. Trempe L’oeil, literally the French for “trick the eye” is a form of painting that fools the viewer into seeing something that isn’t really there. It could be a realistic view with convincing perspective or a bowl of fruit on a shelf, painted on the wall to look as if it exists in three dimensions. Graphic Artist in DemandAs a graphic designer, Guido Daniele’s talents are much in demand from the corporate advertising world and he has successfully worked for many large corporations including Fiat, Nestle, Panasonic, Villeroy & Boch and AT&T – to name but a few. He has also painted the backdrops for many advertising campaigns and magazine layouts; some as big as 400 square meters. ExhibitionsGuido exhibits worldwide including Berlin, London, Milan and the United States. His next exhibition will be in Orlando ( Florida), as part of the " Regal Swan Foundation Festival " from 14 to 24 October 2008.
