Art Journal Prompt #3

Torn Paper Galore!

I've decided to step out of my comfort zone and layer without the use of paint. Join me, won't you?

Theme: Open

Mediums: Torn book pages, torn magazine pages, scrap paper, stickers, pastels, rubber stamps, colored pencils - pretty much anything that isn't paint or markers.

Summary: This week we're looking at layering. I've been working with layering one way or another since 2003 and I'm in love with the process. I've done this on journal and handmade book covers, greeting cards, art journal pages, altered book pages and other altered art (bookmarks, tag art, etc.) I usually use paint, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and take paint right out of this week's challenge. What can you create? Use as many pages as needed to express your creativity. There's no right or wrong here, be free and liberal with your work.

Assignment: Create your pages, photograph them and post them up in your online journal, in your blog and wherever else you'd like to put your creative expressions. Of, keep them for yourself - there's no requirement for sharing these creations with others.
