It's a work in progress, but plans are in the works to feature new content on a daily basis here, on Suite101.com's Mixed Media Arts topic.
As many of you have already noticed, this has been a rather sleepy topic. Weekly contributions have fallen off in terms of article presentations and blog postings. This is all going to change from this week forward.
The Mixed Media Arts Topic at Suite101.com will now feature new content on a daily basis!
Each day of the business day of the week will have their own assigned Mixed Media Arts theme:
- Monday: Mixed Media Arts Profile: a new artist or group of artists will be featured. I'll be accepting requests to be interviewed by artists, in addition to seeking out those I'd like to feature.
- Tuesday: Artist Date Idea: this was a very popular area of discussion in blogs I've written in the past, so I'm bringing them back in the form or articles. If you have an idea you'd like explored, feel free to contact me through email or discussion and I'll get it up there the following week (on a first come first serve basis).
- Wednesday: Altered Art Project: I'll be creating a mixed media art altered art project and stepping you through the process on a weekly basis.
- Thursday: Project Planner: In these articles, you'll find how-to pieces about a wide variety of mixed media art projects.
- Friday: Artists Tool Kit: I'll be featuring a discussion about various forms of media used in mixed media art projects. I'll also be pointing out various resources for mixed media artists to use in the projects and enhance their experiences.
Blog posts will be sprinkled on a nearly daily basis, as well. I'll be featuring links to artists of interest, blogs of interest and other creative interests for mixed media artists. I'll also be speaking more often about my own mixed media art projects in the works, plans for new ones and some discussions about what I've done in the past.
I'll also be posting a new poll every week to get a feel for what readers are working on, thinking and interested in. So, as you can see, this is going to be a pretty busy place! Be sure to use the discussion area frequently so I know what interests you the most. Until then, I'll be playin it by ear. I'm always available via email, so don't be shy.
