I have been craving creative time with friends. The problem with this? I do not have any friends who are artists.
The idea of creative time with friends has been appealing to me for years. When I was younger, I would try to encourage my friends to give my interests a try. It didn’t work. I would seek out people with common interests and, either I could not find anyone or the friendships did not stick because I moved too much.
I am not going to give up, though! My goal is to one day start a group in my community so artists can meet and greet. That way, more of us can get to know each other. I know I’m not the only artist in this sleepy little town. I just need to figure out a way to find them. Now that I know I’m planting roots and settling down, it is time to figure out who is who.
Do you have friends you create art with? If not, is something you are actively trying to change? Do you prefer working on your projects alone? Are there art groups in your town where artists can meet, greet, and get to know each other?
