I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Writer's Manual last week, so I jumped at the chance. I believe no door should be left unopened - you never know what kind of opportunity might be missed if you don't open it and walk right through.
Why am I researching and taking advantage of all these interview opportunities?
I'm working through the year on a "book a month" project where pages from my Mixed Media Arts art journal will be published in book form. One book is complete and February's book is nearly complete. And, yes, March's book is in progress.
If promotion for these books aren't in place, how will anyone know about them? Publishing pages from my Mixed Media Arts art journal was a real leap of faith. I didn't know if there was a market for such work, if it would fail or if it would be lost in the shuffle with everyone else's work.
We'll have to see what happens. I'm not going to judge the failure or success of this project until the end of the year. In the meantime, you can see these books here.
