I’ve been thinking a lot about creative correspondence and other forms of mail art. When was your last exchange?
I was a very avid mail art exchanger for a few years, and even more recently I took part in some journals and decos. I miss the act of creating, sending, and receiving mail art. I remember when it was a part of my daily routine.
Part of the reason why I stopped was because my journals were being kept. There’s one group where, the one and only journal I ever sent out was kept (to this day) by the group’s moderator. I haven’t sent out anything ever since.
I belong to 1001journals.com and started to participate in some swaps. I worked in some journals, sent out some (I have no idea where they are), and am on the list for some others. I don’t know why I slipped from that site . . . it might have something to do with the fear of losing more work.
