- Advertising! :)
In response to Advertising! posted by upsidedownsarah: I haven't, but I'll check into it - I love that magazine, too. I try to pick up a copy whenever I can, and then I treat them as though they're books (keep them forever).

- Cloth Paper Scissors
In response to Advertising! posted by Poemwriter1: That's my favorite mixed media mag. I don't like the Stampington publications much because so much of their work looks the same. Too many hats and wings. I love wings, but let's see some creativity already! The ironic thing is that I don't really sew, although I am probably going to get my mom's Singer when she retires it for a new one (so I guess I'll be learning). But I do like the creativity, originality, and the unique projects in that mag. Nice layout and photography, too.

- Cloth Paper Scissors
In response to Cloth Paper Scissors posted by upsidedownsarah: I haven't seen too many issues of Stampington, so I don't know if they're all similar to each other or not. LOL I have heard a lot of other artists being excited about receiving their latest issues, so I guess it all depends on taste and interest. I need to get more "creativity focused" magazines around here, though, that's for sure!

- Zines
In response to Cloth Paper Scissors posted by Poemwriter1: I hear a lot of the online zines are good for that too. I haven't checked them out too much myself. Have you?

- Zines
In response to Zines posted by upsidedownsarah: I actually like zines and made an attempt to start one, myself. It fell through when the funds fell through, but it's not completely sacked - just on the back burner for now. I've received several zines that were very well put together, while others have left me wondering why it was made in the first place.

- Zines
In response to Zines posted by Poemwriter1: Hey, that sounds exciting. If you get your zine going again, I would love to read an issue. I hear a lot of the most creative cutting-edge stuff shows up there first.

- Zines
In response to Zines posted by upsidedownsarah: I'll let you know - thanks for your interest! It's called Freedom Artists and it's geared toward mixed media artists who like to step outside of the norm and create what their muse leads them to do. I have some submissions that are brilliant, while others were sent it just so they could get free issues . . . another example of people sending in low grade work in exchange for something nice. You'll see what I mean when the issue is published.

- Zines
In response to Zines posted by Poemwriter1: Wow, that sounds like just the kind of zine I would like. I am really into following my muse and making art that means something to me, regardless of the trends. I definitely want to know when it comes out. Sounds like a great read.

- Zines
In response to Zines posted by upsidedownsarah: Thank you very much! I think, if I remember correctly, there were twelve artists participating in this particular issue. I'm hoping for regular contributors and regular subscribers once I eventually get it off the ground.

In response to Zines posted by Poemwriter1: Do you need any help with it? I am guessing you do your own proofing/editing, but I am a nitpicky English teacher in case you need someone to proof. I also know some cool background techniques with watercolors (I created them myself, so no copyright issues).
