Hi, Jennifer.

I think I need to set a few goals too.

1. Make and send 5 ATCs to my InnerPeaceArtists group for a swap.
2. Get all the fabric bonded to my dog Emma's memory box with gel medium.
3. Customize a memory book for Emma's memory box with some of the same fabric.
4. Start writing in Emma's memory book.
5. Finish my polar bear drawing (colored pencils)
6. Post photos of my Micro Twickie altered book on my blog.

I don't know if I will really get all of this done, but it's worth a try. I usually do meet my goals.

» Feature Writer Jennifer Hollowell - Great goals!

I set goals for writing, so it only made sense to me to do so for art projects also. I don't know why, but I always tend to put art projects last . . . I need to stop doing that. Hopefully regular goal making/keeping will prevent that from happening anymore! happy

Well, I did meet some of my goals. I finished my polar bear drawing, photographed it, and posted it to the forum I designed it for. I am almost done putting the fabric on Emma's box. I also got a little book to write her story in, and wrote about ten pages in it (so far). I haven't decorated it yet though. I have not taken photos of Daphne's altered book to post yet. Maybe I'll do that Sunday. But anyway, I made progress. I also cleaned my studio and set up my new colored pencil work area. I'm satisfied with my progress.

Sounds like you've been a busy bee! I wish my art-productivity has been as good. I've been so bogged down with work and school lately . . .

It sounds like you have an awful lot going on. Do I remember reading that you have young children? My son is 18 (and out on his own), and my daughter is 16; that automatically gives me an easier time with art stuff. I hope you will cut yourself some slack. Life has its seasons, and it sounds like this one is really full for you already. I am going to start my masters degree in August, and then I will have less time for art (but I will make sure I get some time for it because it's something I feel I really need). It will be a new season of life for me.
