I had an artist date with a woman who wanted to learn more about watercolor painting. We had some fun playing with different brushes. I taught her some different ways of painting. It was realy nice. I hope we will be able to meet again. I wish I could find some more artists nearby who I could meet with.

I can certainly relate to your wish about meeting (or knowing) more artists in your area. I live in the middle of nowhere and finding other artists has been slow going . . . I've been hunting around for three years! LOL

I live in a suburb of Chicago and am surrounded by people, but there are not that many mixed-media artists out here. I at least am able to share my work and view the work of others online. That is something to appreciate.

I couldn't agree more - the Internet has provided me with a plentiful outlet for creativity and inspiration. There's a lot about mixed media art that I would have never heard of or thought to look for in bookstores.
